Compensation

Salaries in the funds industry are highly structured within the top-tier firms based on years of experience and also asset classes.  They are reviewed annually with scope for employees to increase their salaries based on merit by upskilling or moving into niche areas such as project management or fintech. Benefits, such as pensions, are excellent and employees enjoy a high level of job security.

In general, the salary levels of private equity fund accountants are higher than hedge fund accountants, due to accounting qualifications being required. Due to a rapidly increasing demand for talent in private equity fund accountants,  entry level roles are now being opened to candidates from audit and corporate accounting backgrounds.
