Salaries in the funds industry are highly structured within the top-tier firms based on years of experience and also asset classes.  They are reviewed annually with scope for employees to increase their salaries based on merit by upskill-ing or moving into niche areas such as project management or fintech. Benefits, such as pensions, are excellent and employees enjoy a high level of job security.

In general, the salary levels of private equity fund accountants are higher than hedge fund accountants, due to accounting qualifications being required. Due to a rapidly increasing demand for talent in private equity fund accountants,  entry level roles are now being opened to candidates from audit and corporate accounting backgrounds.
